TRANSACTIONS / Sale of Vansan to Ebara

One of Japan’s leading industrial machinery manufacturers, Ebara agreed to acquire 100% shareholding in Vansan, Turkey’s leading pump and pump systems manufacturer.

Ventura Partners acted as the buy-side financial advisor to Ebara on the transaction. Due to the travel restrictions related to Covid-19 pandemic, the plant visits were performed by drones and all discussions were carried out on digital platform.

Founded by A. Ozden Ertoz in Izmir/Turkey in 1964, Vansan is the leading pump and pump systems manufacturer in EMEA. Product span includes submersible pumps and motors, centrifugal pumps and turbine pumps. Heavily investing in technology with strong R&D capabilities, the company operates in two factories in with a closed area of 21,000 m2. Vansan has annual revenues of ca. US$70 million, 70% of which are generated through exports.
